WIP Long John Neo 3mm Women’s Wetsuit – The First Wetsuit Exclusively for Women
The WIP Long John Neo 3mm Women’s Wetsuit is an innovative solution designed specifically for women who sail. Fully tailored to the female body, it offers maximum comfort, functionality, and protection during active time on the water. This model not only meets the highest standards but also introduces new technologies that respond to the needs of modern female sailors.
The wetsuit is designed with protection in mind, minimizing the risk of chafing and improving comfort during long hours on the water. Made from 3mm Airprene perforated neoprene, it provides excellent flexibility and breathability, ensuring the body remains at a comfortable temperature even in colder conditions.
The WIP Pro technology has been integrated in key areas using panels with thermoplastic plates and high-density foams to enhance comfort and durability, especially during water entry. The wetsuit is equipped with rubber knee protectors that provide excellent grip and protect these crucial areas from damage.
Additionally, the WIP Long John Neo 3mm has reinforced abrasion-resistant fabric panels, particularly in areas prone to high wear, such as the knees and back. The Velcro ankle closures ensure a tight seal, preventing water from entering the wetsuit.
One of the most innovative features is the special crotch system designed for the Wipee system. This discreet device allows women to urinate without removing the wetsuit, a great convenience for female sailors. The Wipee device is available for separate purchase.

1.1. The sailing wetsuit should be used as intended, specifically during water activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, or paddleboarding.
1.2. The wetsuit must fit the user properly. Improper fit may restrict movement, reduce thermal protection, or cause discomfort.
1.3. Before putting on the wetsuit, ensure it is in good technical condition (no tears, abrasions, damaged zippers, or seals).
2. Maintenance and Cleaning
2.1. After each use, rinse the wetsuit with clean water to remove salt, sand, and debris.
2.2. Do not use detergents, bleach, or harsh chemicals that may damage the material.
2.3. Dry the wetsuit in a well-ventilated, shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators.
2.4. Store the wetsuit in a dry place, either hanging or folded in a way that prevents permanent creases.
3. Safe Use
3.1. The wetsuit is not a safety device and does not provide buoyancy. Always use an approved life jacket or buoyancy aid when wearing a sailing wetsuit.
3.2. If the material is damaged in a way that reduces its insulating properties, repair it immediately (e.g., using specialized neoprene glue) or replace it with a new one.
3.3. Avoid exposing the wetsuit to sharp objects that may puncture or tear it.
3.4. Do not use the wetsuit in situations where there is a risk of exposure to fire, high temperatures, or chemicals.
4. Storage Conditions
4.1. Store the wetsuit at room temperature (10–25°C), away from UV light and moisture.
4.2. Avoid contact with oils, solvents, and other chemicals that may weaken the material's structure.
4.3. Regularly inspect the wetsuit for wear and tear, paying special attention to seams, zippers, and the material's elasticity.
5. Health and Safety Recommendations
5.1. The wetsuit should be worn on clean skin or over a thin layer of thermal clothing to prevent irritation.
5.2. If an allergic reaction to neoprene or Julex occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.
5.3. Avoid overheating – in warmer conditions, remove the wetsuit to prevent dehydration and heat stroke.
6. Compliance with GPSR Regulations
The sailing wetsuit complies with the safety requirements outlined in GPSR, provided it is used in accordance with the above guidelines. Both the manufacturer and the user are responsible for maintaining the wetsuit in good technical condition and using it as intended.
