Safety Instructions for Navigational Lamps (for Watercraft)
Safety Guidelines
Proper Use
Navigational lamps are a critical safety element for watercraft, enabling identification of the vessel in darkness or challenging weather conditions. Use the lamp for its intended purpose, always ensuring it is properly mounted and its light is visible from the required directions.
Use the navigational lamp only for navigational purposes and in accordance with the applicable regulations regarding lights on watercraft.
Avoid Improper Use
Do not use the navigational lamp for purposes other than those it was designed for (e.g., for lighting the interior of the vessel).
Avoid placing the lamp in areas where it may be damaged, such as in zones exposed to shocks or high humidity.
Regular Inspection Before Use
Technical Inspection
Check the lamp before each use, paying attention to:
Power source: ensure the battery or accumulator is fully charged and functioning properly. Regularly check the battery status and replace it if signs of wear are present.
Bulbs/LEDs: check if the light source is working correctly. If the lamp uses a traditional bulb, ensure it is not burnt out. For LED lamps, check that all diodes are functioning.
Housing and seals: check that the lamp’s housing is free from cracks and damage, and that seals are not destroyed. Replace any worn seals to ensure waterproofing.
Testing Before Use
Turn the lamp on to ensure it works properly. Perform a test in different conditions to check that the light is visible from the required distance and from the correct directions.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning
Regularly clean the lamp to remove dirt, seawater salt, and other contaminants that could affect its performance.
Use a soft cloth and mild cleaning agents. Avoid aggressive detergents that could damage the housing or seals.
Maintenance
Check the condition of the power cables, plugs, and switches. Replace worn parts as needed.
Regularly lubricate moving mechanisms (e.g., light angle adjustment) to ensure smooth operation.
Emergency Situations
Accidents and Damage
If the navigational lamp stops working during use, immediately check the battery, bulb/LED, and any potential damage to the housing or mechanism. If the lamp is not functioning, use an alternative light source or emergency lights.
In case of malfunction, report the issue to the service center to avoid further damage or improper use.
Use in Adverse Weather Conditions
In extreme weather conditions, such as heavy rain, storms, or fog, ensure the navigational lamp is adequately visible and functioning properly. In such conditions, pay special attention to the battery status to avoid faster drainage.

If you notice a manufacturing defect or damage to the navigational lamp, contact the manufacturer or point of sale to report the issue and receive assistance. Do not modify the device yourself to avoid further compromising its technical condition.
