Safe Usage Guidelines
Mounting the Wimpel
The wimpel should be mounted according to the manufacturer’s instructions, choosing the correct location on the mast (at the top or front). Incorrect mounting may affect the accuracy of the readings and the stability of the device.
Ensure that all mounting elements are properly tightened and secured to prevent accidental detachment of the wimpel while sailing.
Using the Wimpel
The wimpel is a precise wind indicator that operates within the range of 0.8 to 40 knots. Avoid exposing the wimpel to conditions exceeding its specifications, as this may cause damage.
While using the wimpel, ensure that it is clean and free of any obstacles that could interfere with its operation (e.g., debris on the surface or mechanical wear).
Regular Inspection Before Use
Checking the Condition of the Wimpel
