PRO HARNESS 2.0
This pro trapeze harness features an adjustable and removable lumbar belt for extra back protection. Developed with the physio team french sailing, this support effectively keeps the lower back in position. Ideal for long training sessions and raids, or for people with back problems.
2 clamping positions are possible which makes each size very versatile. Easily adjustable, the pro harness also features a reinforced neoprene crotch for added comfort. A large metal bar (stainless steel) at the hook, covered with textile, avoids the risk of crushing the pelvis.
> Lumbar belt designed in partnership with the french national sailing team, height adjustable and removable
> Sleek harness, no straps to come to interrupt you during your maneuvers, adjustment by velcro
> Large strapeze bar to prevent hip crushing
> Padded crotch support with a comfortable neoprene fabric
> Reinforced seat with kevlar abrasion resistant fabric
> Easy to set and adjust
> Belt used by billy besson at the 2016 olympic games in the nacra17
> Can be worn with max lumbar support
Safety Information
1. Purpose
The WIP trapeze harness is designed for sailors, providing comfort and support during water sports activities. It is an essential piece of equipment for trapezing in sailing, especially in competitive regattas.
2. Potential Hazards
Fall hazard: Improper use or incorrect fitting of the harness may cause instability while holding onto the boat, increasing the risk of falling into the water.
Tight fitting: If the harness is too tight, it may cause discomfort, pressure, and restrict movement. Conversely, if it is too loose, it may slip off during use.
Material wear: Failure to use the harness properly or prolonged use without checking its condition may lead to material wear, which can affect safety.
3. Usage Instructions
Fitting and adjusting: Ensure the harness is properly fitted to your body, not too tight or too loose. Perform a test to ensure the harness stays in place during basic movements.
Use as intended: The trapeze harness should only be used for its intended purpose — water sports, especially during regattas, and not for everyday use.
Avoid overloading: Never use the harness for loads exceeding the recommended limits. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the maximum load capacity.
4. Inspection and Maintenance
Regular checks: Before each use, check the condition of the harness, especially the straps, buckles, and other load-bearing components. Ensure the material is not damaged or excessively worn.
Cleaning: After each use, wash the harness in cold water to remove saltwater or other contaminants that may affect its condition. Allow the harness to air dry naturally, avoiding direct sunlight or heat sources.
Storage: Store the harness in a dry place, away from excessive moisture and heat, to prevent material damage.
5. First Aid
Injuries from falls: If you fall into the water while using the harness, stop using it immediately, assess your health, and seek medical assistance if necessary.
Skin irritation: If skin irritation occurs from contact with the harness material, discontinue use, rinse the skin with water, and consult a doctor if irritation persists.
6. User Responsibility
The user of the WIP trapeze harness is responsible for proper use and regular inspection of its condition. The manufacturer is not liable for any accidents or damages resulting from improper use of the harness.
