WIP Steamer MK2 Wetsuit – Comfort and Protection on the Water

The WIP Steamer MK2 wetsuit is an advanced solution for sailors and water sports enthusiasts, combining maximum comfort, warmth, and safety. Thanks to the use of innovative technologies, it ensures full freedom of movement and a perfect fit.

Made from highly stretchable neoprene, the wetsuit offers exceptional flexibility and durability, making it an ideal choice for cooler days on the water. Integrated protection technologies like WIP Inside ensure safety in key areas prone to impact.

The one-piece collar with a chest zipper allows for easy wear and guarantees water-tightness, while the internal thermo-lining keeps warmth in and wicks moisture away, ensuring the wetsuit dries quickly and stays comfortable throughout the day.

Product Features:

  • Highly stretchable neoprene – for maximum comfort and freedom of movement.
  • WIP Inside technology – integrated protective panels (on the shins and outer thighs) increasing safety by absorbing impact during falls.
  • One-piece collar with chest zipper – easy to use, providing a complete seal.
  • WIP 3D fit – body mapping for the best fit and comfort.
  • Internal thermo-lining – keeps warmth, wicks moisture, and dries quickly.

The WIP Steamer MK2 wetsuit is the perfect choice for those looking for a combination of innovation, comfort, and protection during intense water activities.

Safety Information

1. Usage
1.1. The sailing wetsuit should be used as intended, specifically during water activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, or paddleboarding.
1.2. The wetsuit must fit the user properly. Improper fit may restrict movement, reduce thermal protection, or cause discomfort.
1.3. Before putting on the wetsuit, ensure it is in good technical condition (no tears, abrasions, damaged zippers, or seals).

2. Maintenance and Cleaning
2.1. After each use, rinse the wetsuit with clean water to remove salt, sand, and debris.
2.2. Do not use detergents, bleach, or harsh chemicals that may damage the material.
2.3. Dry the wetsuit in a well-ventilated, shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators.
2.4. Store the wetsuit in a dry place, either hanging or folded in a way that prevents permanent creases.

3. Safe Use
3.1. The wetsuit is not a safety device and does not provide buoyancy. Always use an approved life jacket or buoyancy aid when wearing a sailing wetsuit.
3.2. If the material is damaged in a way that reduces its insulating properties, repair it immediately (e.g., using specialized neoprene glue) or replace it with a new one.
3.3. Avoid exposing the wetsuit to sharp objects that may puncture or tear it.
3.4. Do not use the wetsuit in situations where there is a risk of exposure to fire, high temperatures, or chemicals.

4. Storage Conditions
4.1. Store the wetsuit at room temperature (10–25°C), away from UV light and moisture.
4.2. Avoid contact with oils, solvents, and other chemicals that may weaken the material's structure.
4.3. Regularly inspect the wetsuit for wear and tear, paying special attention to seams, zippers, and the material's elasticity.

5. Health and Safety Recommendations
5.1. The wetsuit should be worn on clean skin or over a thin layer of thermal clothing to prevent irritation.
5.2. If an allergic reaction to neoprene or Julex occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.
5.3. Avoid overheating – in warmer conditions, remove the wetsuit to prevent dehydration and heat stroke.

6. Compliance with GPSR Regulations
The sailing wetsuit complies with the safety requirements outlined in GPSR, provided it is used in accordance with the above guidelines. Both the manufacturer and the user are responsible for maintaining the wetsuit in good technical condition and using it as intended.

7. Contact in Case of Problems
If a manufacturing defect or damage is detected, contact the manufacturer or point of sale. Do not modify the wetsuit in a way that could affect its protective properties.
