Assembly

Ensure that the sail is clean, dry, and spread out under appropriate conditions (without strong winds).
Check the batten pockets for dirt or damage.

Inserting the battens:

Gently insert the battens into the appropriate pockets in the sail, following the manufacturer's instructions.
Make sure the batten is properly fitted and fully inserted into the pocket.

Securing:

Use appropriate fasteners or locking elements to secure the battens in the sail pockets.
Check to ensure the battens cannot shift during use.

Usage

Pre-sailing check:

Check if the battens are securely mounted and show no signs of damage (e.g., cracks, deformations).
Ensure the batten pockets are not worn or weakened.

During use:

Avoid hitting the sail with great force against hard objects, as this may damage the battens.
Try not to excessively bend the battens to avoid breaking them.

Regular inspection and maintenance

Checking the condition of the battens:

After each use, inspect the battens for cracks, deformations, or other damages.
If any damage is found, replace the batten with a new one.

Storage:

Store the battens in a dry, shaded place, preferably in the original packaging or in the sail, to avoid deformation and mechanical damage.
