Safety Instructions for Hand Pumps for Inflatable Boats

Safe Usage Guidelines

Purpose

The hand pump is intended for inflating inflatable boats, kayaks, SUP boards, and kiteboards. Use the pump exclusively for inflating these products according to their technical specifications. Do not use it for other purposes that may affect its functionality.

Proper Use

Connecting the Hose to the Valve:

Before starting to pump, ensure that the pump hose is correctly connected to the valve of the object being inflated. Check if the valve is fully tightened before starting the inflation process.

Inflating:

Use the pump according to the manufacturer's instructions. Inflation should be smooth and fairly even to avoid material damage. Avoid over-inflating, as this may cause damage to the inflated item. Always check the pressure according to the equipment manufacturer's recommendations.

Regular Technical Inspection

Before Each Use:

Hose Check: Ensure that the hose has no cracks or damages. If you notice any damage, replace the hose before use.
Valve Check: Make sure the valve is in good condition and the seals are properly placed to prevent air leaks.
Piston Check: Ensure that the pump's piston is in good condition and not worn out, which could hinder the pump's proper functioning.
Check if there is any sand or water inside the hose to avoid contaminating the item being inflated.
Cleaning and Maintenance

Cleaning:

After each use, clean the pump to remove sand, salt, and other contaminants that may affect its performance. Avoid using chemical agents that may damage the pump's material.

Storage:

Store the pump in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight to prevent damage to the material. Ensure the pump is stored in a way that prevents it from being crushed or the hose from becoming excessively tense.

Safety During Use

Use the Pump in Appropriate Conditions:

The hand pump should be used in stable conditions, on a stable surface to avoid dangerous accidents while using it. Never inflate a boat, kayak, or other floating devices under extreme weather conditions (e.g., strong winds, storms) or while moving on water.

Proper Pumping Technique:

When inflating, ensure the equipment is filled with air evenly. Inflating in one intense cycle may damage the material.

Emergency Situations

Air Supply Interruption:

If you notice any leakage or a decrease in pumping efficiency (e.g., air leakage from the hose or valve), immediately stop using the pump and check its condition.

Pump Damage:

If the piston or other parts of the pump are damaged, stop using it to avoid damaging the device or the object you are inflating.

Contact in Case of Problems

If you notice any manufacturing defects or damage, contact the manufacturer or point of sale. Do not modify the pump on your own in a way that may affect its functionality or safety.
