Rooster LJ Supertherm Women's Seagrass - Neoprene Trousers
The Rooster LJ Supertherm Women's Seagrass is the latest version of our Supertherm trousers, carefully developed to offer optimal comfort and functionality on the water. Building on the success of the Azure version, we've incorporated customer feedback, focus group insights, and advances in materials and technology to refine every aspect of this gear.
Made from Superstretch neoprene with GBS (glued blind stitches) and thermal lining throughout, these trousers offer excellent warmth. Additionally, the specialized thermal lining in the chest area provides core warmth in challenging conditions. The strategic panel construction, with thicknesses ranging from 3.5mm to 4mm, increases comfort and flexibility.
Key Features:
- Enhanced Fit: The wider back and shoulder fitting provides better stability, especially when sailing on a dinghy. Improved support in critical panels ensures the optimal fit.
- Durability: Knees and seat areas are made from Duratex II fabric, known for its abrasion resistance, ensuring longevity in harsh conditions.
- Versatile Design: These trousers can be worn with or without trekking inserts, thanks to the soft inner seat lining.
Additional Features:
- Adjustable Length: The extended leg length can be shortened to two shorter lengths, providing a better fit. Silicone printing on the inside of the ankles helps prevent slipping.
- Drainage Holes: Equipped with drainage holes in the lower leg sections for quick water runoff.
Materials:
- Limestone Neoprene: Innovative material combining durability and flexibility.
- Duratex II: Reinforced fabric on knees, seat, and shins, known for its abrasion resistance.
Recommendation: For the ultimate winter sailing gear, pair the Rooster LJ Supertherm Women's Seagrass trousers with the Supertherm® women’s top for total warmth and comfort on the water.
Safety Information
1. Usage
1.1. The sailing wetsuit should be used as intended, specifically during water activities such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, or paddleboarding.
1.2. The wetsuit must fit the user properly. Improper fit may restrict movement, reduce thermal protection, or cause discomfort.
1.3. Before putting on the wetsuit, ensure it is in good technical condition (no tears, abrasions, damaged zippers, or seals).
2. Maintenance and Cleaning
2.1. After each use, rinse the wetsuit with clean water to remove salt, sand, and debris.
2.2. Do not use detergents, bleach, or harsh chemicals that may damage the material.
2.3. Dry the wetsuit in a well-ventilated, shaded area, avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources such as radiators.
2.4. Store the wetsuit in a dry place, either hanging or folded in a way that prevents permanent creases.
3. Safe Use
3.1. The wetsuit is not a safety device and does not provide buoyancy. Always use an approved life jacket or buoyancy aid when wearing a sailing wetsuit.
3.2. If the material is damaged in a way that reduces its insulating properties, repair it immediately (e.g., using specialized neoprene glue) or replace it with a new one.
3.3. Avoid exposing the wetsuit to sharp objects that may puncture or tear it.
3.4. Do not use the wetsuit in situations where there is a risk of exposure to fire, high temperatures, or chemicals.
4. Storage Conditions
4.1. Store the wetsuit at room temperature (10–25°C), away from UV light and moisture.
4.2. Avoid contact with oils, solvents, and other chemicals that may weaken the material's structure.
4.3. Regularly inspect the wetsuit for wear and tear, paying special attention to seams, zippers, and the material's elasticity.
5. Health and Safety Recommendations
5.1. The wetsuit should be worn on clean skin or over a thin layer of thermal clothing to prevent irritation.
5.2. If an allergic reaction to neoprene or Julex occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor.
5.3. Avoid overheating – in warmer conditions, remove the wetsuit to prevent dehydration and heat stroke.
6. Compliance with GPSR Regulations
The sailing wetsuit complies with the safety requirements outlined in GPSR, provided it is used in accordance with the above guidelines. Both the manufacturer and the user are responsible for maintaining the wetsuit in good technical condition and using it as intended.
7. Contact in Case of Problems
If a manufacturing defect or damage is detected, contact the manufacturer or point of sale. Do not modify the wetsuit in a way that could affect its protective properties.
