Safe Usage Guidelines
Proper Mask Wearing
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or disinfect them with an alcohol-based sanitizer before putting on the mask.
Ensure the mask fits snugly against your face, covering both your nose and mouth.
Avoid touching the outer surface of the mask while wearing it. If you touch the mask, immediately wash or disinfect your hands.
Wearing the Mask
Use the mask as intended – as a means to prevent the spread of microorganisms.
Avoid sliding the mask down to your chin or neck, as this may reduce its protective effectiveness.
Replace reusable masks with clean ones if they become damp or dirty.
Removing the Mask
Remove the mask by holding the straps or ties, avoiding contact with the outer fabric surface.
After removing the mask, immediately wash your hands with soap and water or disinfect them.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Washing and Drying
Wash reusable masks at a temperature of at least 60°C using detergent to effectively remove microorganisms.
Dry the mask thoroughly before reusing it. High-temperature drying (e.g., in a tumble dryer) further enhances hygiene.
Regularly check the mask's condition – if you notice damage to the fabric or loss of shape, replace it with a new one.
Storing the Mask
Store clean masks in a dry, closed container or bag to prevent contamination.
Store used masks separately from clean ones, ideally in a designated container for washing.
Emergency Situations
Breathing Difficulties
If you experience difficulty breathing while wearing the mask, remove it immediately and discontinue use.
Consult a doctor if breathing issues persist.
Mask Damage
Replace the mask immediately if it tears, frays, or loses elasticity, as a damaged mask does not provide adequate protection.
Additional Recommendations
Protection Limitations: Fabric masks do not offer complete protection against viruses. For better safety, use additional measures such as social distancing and hand disinfection.
Individual Use: Do not share masks with others, even if they have been washed.
